Erebus Phos, Moga trainer P2

                              Chapter 3

I followed the papparazzi that surrounded Nova for a while until she gave them all the slip by hopping on a black horse with a fiery mane she had within a little blue ball and outran them, desperate to get away. I had to think fast or i would lose her. A thought came to my head. Frostbite was some kind of bear and bears are supposed to be really good at finding and following scents, so I let him loose and told him to track her. He started sniffing the ground and set off after her. I had to run to keep up with him.

I was really wishing I had my shoes now. Nova just had to pick the pathe covered with brambles and sharp stones didn't she? Me and Frostbite had to run for a few hours, he with his nose to the ground and I with my eyes on him. Eventually I saw a fire blazing ahead and told Frostbite to quiet down. He obeyed, and i marveled at the fact that he seemed to understand every word I said, even though he was clearly from the wild. I decided to keep him out incase the person wasn't Nova, and I wondered why I thought he would protect me. Afterall, he was just a wild animal I had just caught on accident while trying to run away from him.

We approached the campfire carefully making as little noise as possible, but to our astonishment it was empty. Ther was a sleeping bag unraveled on the ground next to the fire, some food cooking, a pack and alot of the little blue balls that seemed to hold these creatures like Frostbite.

I stood there puzzled for a moment. I heard the soft flump of something falling in the snow. I turned and saw Frostbite out cold in the snow, and before my mind registered what had happened someone hit me on the back of my neck, hard, and I crumpled into the snow.

I woke up and the sun was coming up, so I was knocked out for at least a few hours. I looked around and saw Nova nearby. "Sorry about knocking you out with my Hanzo. I thought you were a thief, or more papparrazi, but then I decided to hear you out and have you tell me why you showed up at my campsite last night. So, explain yourself." She told me.

I quickly sat up and looked around. "Where's Frostbite?" I asked with a sense of worry.

"That coldbear of yours is being watched by my Hanzo, if that's what your asking. He's safe. Now explain yourself." She told me.
I told her my story from beginning to the present. I told her how I found her wallet and set out to find her,  how Frostbite used his nose to track her down, the blue and black shadow that defended me. I told her  everything that I knew so far.

"Interesting. You don't know who you are or anything about this world, and yet you are able to tame one moga without catching it and make it defend you, and make a coldbear, one of the most difficult mogas to make tame, obey you unquestionably. Interesting." She said. "May I have my wallet now?"

"Oh of course . Forgive me I forgot why I tracked you down" I said as I handed her her wallet.

"It's alright, though it sounds like you need a crash course in the world known as Monster Galaxy.

Mogas are these monsters that fell from the stars to earth. We were unaware of there existence until earthquakes began shaking our world. The tremors agitated the moga and they began to attack people, alerting us of their presence. Hanzo,come here." Nova stopped talking for a moment as a big cat monkey thing with a scarf around it's neck came into the campsite. The Hanzo was holding a leash with Frostbite on it, who looked rather ruffled and was straining to get to me. " Hanzo is a moga, albiet a very rare one, as is your coldbear that I believe you christened Frostbite,yes?" she asked.  "Yeah I named him that after he tried eating my foot and I was scared I would get frost bite because of all the snow and ice." I answered. "Alright then. One day I found a bundle of small, blue balls with stars on them. I was lucky I found them because the moment I picked one up a Woolf came bursting throught the under brush coming for me. I did what seemed to be instinct and throught the blue ball at it. That was the day I caught my first moga. These blue balls are called Starseeds. We moga trainers use them to catch moga." She explained.

Then she told meall the fine details of moga trainin and by the time we were done the sun was going down and she rolled me out a sleeping bag and told me she would properly show me how to catch moga in the morning.
